 A Digital Content Regulation Conference (NDCRC) – Celebrating Creative Industry in  Nigeria

While Expressing profound gratitude, Alhaji Adedayo Thomas (the Executive Director/CEO of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) who officially opened the event) acknowledged the invaluable collaboration and support received since the inception of this remarkable journey. Recognizing the pivotal role of the creative industry, he emphasized the significance of collective efforts in propelling the growth and success of the conference. Notably, special appreciation was extended to global streaming giant Netflix for their unwavering support throughout the conference’s journey.

In a heartfelt goodwill message, Prof Sunday Ododo passionately declared his pride in being Nigerian. Upholding the values of integrity, preserving cultural heritage, and embracing the power of purpose, the GM/CEO of National Theatre emphasized the unity and strength of Nigerians as they strive for excellence. He also highlighted the role of digital content in shaping the perception of Nigeria, aiming to showcase the nation’s values and potential to the world.

Furthermore, in a tribute to the late Peace Osigwe Anyiam, the 3rd edition of the conference was renamed the “Peace Anyiam Osigwe 3rd Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference (NDCRC).” This renaming served as a testament to her legacy and inspiring contributions to the creative industry.

The event witnessed the illustrious presence of distinguished personalities from the creative industry, as well as heads of parastatals in the Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy. Their participation and collective commitment to the conference signify the importance placed on the growth and development of the creative industry in Nigeria.
