October 1st. This is one of the many things China and Nigeria have in common”. So said the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed at the China National Day Celebration held at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos. The Friday 9th September 2022 event was a festival of dance, drums, cuisine, and the economic ties between both countries.
Represented by “his able Lieutenant Prof. Sunday Enessi Ododo, the Minister presented a Keynote Address on “Improving The Nigeria-China Economic Relationship Through Art and Culture Related Activities as Alternative to Job Creations”. In the Keynote Address the GM/CEO who spoke in the voice of his master commended the Chinese business community for their continued support and commitment to Nigeria in construction, investments in mineral resources and allied products. He also called on the Chinese business community to invest in the many opportunities that the value chain of the creative culture industries provides to help in boosting job creation in Nigeria.
In attendance for the Chinese mid-autumn festival and National Day Celebration were Prof. Ododo, fsonta, fta, fsna, fana, fnipr, FNAL joined on the high table by Minister of State of Science, Technology and Innovation, DG of NCAC, Mrs Bola Obasanjo, Mama Nike Okundaye (Nike Gallery), Ambassador of China to Nigeria HE Mr. Cui Jian Chun among other dignitaries.Photo speaks
